Amherst College relaunches our U.S. Service Member/Veteran Travel Grant program for the 2024-25 academic year! Amherst actively seeks to enroll qualified students who are veterans or current members of the U.S. Armed Forces. As part of our commitment, the U.S. Service Member/Veteran Travel Grant program introduces prospective military/veteran students to Amherst’s campus, student body, faculty and classes. Students selected for the U.S. Service Member/Veteran Travel Grant will receive 100% coverage of round-trip transportation and lodging costs to visit Amherst College from within the United States. Visits must be completed during the academic semester and during the regular business hours of the College.
Although we hope that students visiting through the U.S. Service Member/Veteran Travel Grant are seriously considering applying for admission to Amherst College, those who receive funding are under no obligation to apply to Amherst. Should any current or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces choose to apply for admission to Amherst College, a $75 application fee waiver will be provided.
If you have any questions regarding the U.S. Service Member/Veteran Travel Grant program, please email Nick Fritz, Assistant Dean of Admission and Transfer/Military Team Member, at nfritz@amherst.edu.
